​Temporary Protected Status (TPS) Updates

​Immigrant Visa Processing Updates – The U.S. Department of State is undergoing a full review of all screening and vetting policies to ensure that immigrants from quite a few countries deemed to be “high-risk” do not unlawfully utilize welfare in the United States or become a public charge. During this time, the Department of State has paused all visa issuances to immigrant visa applicants from those “high-risk” countries.

Refugees & Green Card Applications – For refugees who have been in the U.S. for more than one year, there is increasing pressure to make sure green card applications are submitted and interviews are attended.
