Temporary Protected Status (TPS) Updates
Immigrant Visa Processing Updates – The U.S. Department of State is undergoing a full review of all screening and vetting policies to ensure that immigrants from quite a few countries deemed to be “high-risk” do not unlawfully utilize welfare in the United States or become a public charge. During this time, the Department of State has paused all visa issuances to immigrant visa applicants from those “high-risk” countries.
Refugees & Green Card Applications – For refugees who have been in the U.S. for more than one year, there is increasing pressure to make sure green card applications are submitted and interviews are attended.

Registration for ESL classes at Morgan Community College – Registration is open for Fall 2026 classes. The cost is $80 for total of 39 class sessions, meeting 6 hours each week. Classes start September 8.
